Chinese is my least favourite takeaway.
However, when made fresh at home I won’t say no! I enjoy this dish and it’s fairly quick to make too. We’ve actually copied down the recipe into our recipe favourites but you can find it here:
We managed to get the beef really crispy by using a frying pan rather than a wok. I wouldn’t advise buying frying steak though as from experience it goes a bit tough and chewy. The sauce is packed with flavour and tastes authentic thanks to the five spice… we have a cupboard pretty much dedicated to herbs and spices, with just a teaspoon they really do take you to different parts of the world!
