Ok… does anyone have a spare 3 hours?
Because this certainly takes longer than the recipe advises. Don’t get me wrong, the chicken is a new taste experience (one might even say Christmassy!), but it’s just too much effort (and I didn’t even make it)!
If you do feel compelled to cook this you can find the Hairy Dieter’s recipe here. All I would say is after so long purely creating the cooking environment for the chicken, you’ll probably want something a bit more substantial and exciting than… lentils. Sorry for all you lentil lovers out there; but it’s just not my thing!
At the end of the day, healthy eating should still be exciting… so make sure you’re still cooking and eating things you can love.
A cheeky brunch-time treat.
I am known to have a very sweet tooth, of the chocolate & dessert variety. So finding a more healthy medium is always a winner!
We used the pancake recipe from BBC Food which was easy to follow and made lovely thick American style pancakes. With fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries, a good helping of natural greek yoghurt and a drizzle of golden syrup for good measure- you really can’t go wrong!
We also added blueberries to the mix and squished them in the pan to ooze into the pancakes. It was supposed to serve 4-6 but with it tasting so good… we had 2 each!
Such an easy little number! Perfect to cool your tongue after a curry or just to answer to your sweet cravings! There are loads of different versions but we love the simplicity of mango and natural greek yoghurt.
Straw or spoon, this is a refreshing, healthy option for all those with a sweet tooth!
